London, UK., July 12, 2016 – Tintri, a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualisation and cloud environments, today announced that We Are Cloud (WAC) is using Tintri’s VMstore to simplify management of its virtualised workloads. Since deployment, WAC has eliminated the need to hire or retrain specialised storage admins and has clearer visibility into its servers, network and storage.
Founded in 2015, WAC is one of the fastest growing cloud service providers (CSP) in the UK, delivering a wide range of hosted services for its customers—including MS Exchange, Citrix XenApp-based virtual desktops, servers and online back up. WAC needed a storage platform that could both support a breadth of customer needs and reduce management effort.
After looking at a variety of different storage options, Tintri was recommended by its reseller S3. “Tintri’s VM-aware storage is a perfect fit for We Are Cloud’s IT environment,” said Chris Barnes, Vendor Alliance Manager at S3. “As soon as we showed them how easy it is to install, configure, and manage Tintri, they were on board.” WAC purchased a Tintri VMstore to support its entire customer workload after realising how simple it was to procure and manage compared to conventional storage options.
WAC now has far better visibility into its IT environment. The Tintri VMstore has allowed for the immediate diagnosis of performance bottlenecks, and WAC has the ability to clone and build new servers in less than two minutes.
Andy Chapman, Managing Director at We Are Cloud commented, “The Tintri experience has been excellent from start to finish. From proof of concept, to placing the order, to delivery, installation, and even the after-sales support, Tintri has always been there for us. As a hosted cloud provider, our customers count on us to provide exceptional reliability and service. With Tintri, we can take hourly snapshots of all of our customer environments. If there ever is a disaster, we can just switch on the clone of that VM, and within two to three minutes, the world is wonderful again.”
Nick Venables, UK & Ireland Sales Director at Tintri said, “Tintri VM-aware storage is specifically designed for virtualized workloads, and so it is ideally suited to cloud. We Are Cloud is a perfect proof point. They have more visibility and control at the virtual machine level, which means they’re spending less time managing storage and more time delivering top-notch service for their customers.
