London, UK., – June 21th, 2016Tintri Inc., a leading producer of VM-aware Storage (VAS) for virtualisation and cloud environments, today announced that its T5000 all-flash series has won Storage Product of the Year at the 13th annual Storage Awards that took place in London, UK.

With over 50,000 votes cast, the Storage Awards provides readers of Storage Magazine the opportunity to acknowledge those considered market leaders in the field. The awards, which celebrate the industry’s finest products, people and companies, recognised Tintri for its fresh new approach to VM-level storage by awarding its latest all-flash product series with Storage Product of the Year.

Tintri’s T5000 series is designed to address the needs of virtualisation and cloud environments. Yael Zheng, CMO at Tintri, said of the accolade: “We are grateful to those who recognised our ability to help enterprises and cloud service providers manage, protect, automate, and analyze their storage at the VM-level for the ultimate simplicity and dramatic CAPEX and OPEX savings.”

Tintri, the industry’s first and leading provider of VAS, has had an exciting year: most significantly, the company unveiled the industry’s largest all-flash scale out platform complete with VM-level analytics. By using scale-out functionality, Tintri can offer its customers the ability to scale up to 10PB of capacity and host storage for up to 160,000 VMs.
